MARSEILLE : Stéphanie can make you appreciate the phocean city, the oldest city of France (created by greeks in 600 BC) with the quarter of Panier, city origin, and the Charité, most unusual baroque monument ; Notre Dame de la Garde (the good mother) where you will see all the city of Marseilles on 360 °. you can follow its history through the visit of the If Castle, forpost of defence built on an island in the 16th C by Francis the 1st ; or with the Longchamps palce from 18th C, built to celabrate the arrival of the water coming from the Durance river. If you follow the JF Kennedy sea shoredrive, she can show you the Borély park and its 17th C chateau, and aslo she can bring you until "the edge of the world", called like this because the quarter of Goudes is the end of the city (and after begin the calanques area, natural sites) and is more a small fishermen port.

LES ALPILLES : Stéphanie can bring you during a day in the Regional parc of the Alpilles with a visit of Saint-Rémy de Provence, capital of the Alpilles and charming town where was born Nostradamus (provençal market on wenesday) ; then a visit of the Baux de Provence and the ruins of the medieval fortress (11th au 13thC). It is possible to go discorvering Fontvieille where is the Alphonse Daudet's Mill, that remembers his novel "Lettres de mon moulin" or to visiting the site of the "Antiques" et the old antique city "Glanum" which was discovered in 1921.

 

THE LUBERON AREA : Stéphanie can lead you for one day in the Regional park of Luberon with the discovery of Gordes, village perched on the hill which remembers the provencal nativity scene ; of Roussillon, well known for its colored facades painted with ocre and its ocre's path (old ocre carry) ; of Bonnieux where we appreciate an admirable panoramic vue on the agricultural plain of the Calavon valley, the Monts of Vaucluse and the Mont Ventoux ; of Lourmarin, the village with 3 belfries and with the 1st renaissance château of Provence (16thC), which had welcomed Albert Camus and Henri Bosco, very famous french writers.

AIX EN PROVENCE : Stéphanie can guide you in the city of fontains, first roman city of Provence created in 122BC, to discover the cathedral Saint-Savior, a patchwork of differents period with a baptistry from the 5thC and its cloister from the 12th C ; to walk in the streets flanked by palaces from the 17th and the 18thC ; or to spend time on the productors' market (Richelme square), on the flowers' ones (Townhall square) or craft market (cours Mirabeau). 

SUR LES PAS DE CEZANNE : She can make you discover the city thanks to Paul Cézanne, the painter of the 19thC who changed the vision of painting in the world, by the site where he passed, from the birthhouse to the last painter's adress 23, rue Boulegon ; and for example the cours Mirabeau where he liked to stop in the café of "deux garçons" or the studio of the Lauves that was built by himself in 1901.

 

AVIGNON : You can discover the city of Pope, Stéphanie can show the good areas of the 14thC Christendom capital, with the Pope Palace, the biggest gothic building of the world ; or with the "Petit Palais" (small palace) that presents more than 300 paintings from medieval and renaissance time; You can admire the view on the "Pont d'Avignon" bridge of Avignon begun to be built in the 12thC, it is famous thanks to the children song "sur le pont d'Avignon".

CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE : On the site of the summer residence ruins of the Popes, you can see all the area of the famous wine, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Stéphanie can bring you to a winery to taste it and visit the cellars where this wine is making and aging.

SALON DE PROVENCE : With Stéphanie, it is possible to discover the town of Patrol of France (very famous team of the best pilot of France that present shows in the sky), where there are still Marseille soaps factories which preserve the tradition from 3 generations. You can discover the Saint-Michel church (beginning of the 13thC) and the Saint-Laurent collegiate church (14th and 15thC) where there is Nostradamus' tomb, or else the "fontaine moussue" (fontain with limestone concretions and vegetation developed, giving the familiar mushroom aspect), mascot of the town from the 16th C. NIMES AND THE PONT DU GARD : A visit of Nîmes which bring you from the amphitheatre to the Square House while passing by the cathedral Saint-Castor. Two thousand years of history, architecture, art and passions. It is easy to push a door to meet the roman style. And always, the contemporary is linked to the history. Then, Stéphanie will present the Pont du Gard that is a part of the roman aqueduct from the 1st C (whigh brought water from Uzès to Nîmes). It is the most impressive work of the 50km channel.

UZES : It is possible to follow the tour with a visit of this town that was the aqueduct of Gard's spring. Ucetia, city of water, then bishop's city from the 5th C, first dukedom of France from 1632, protestant in 16th C, Uzès is a charming town which is one of the most preserved feodal site in a downtown.
